It's been a long year for both George and I. We started this little "misadventure" around April of last year and worked hard all summer, fall, and winter getting music together, learning how to play the songs, getting websites built, configuring gear to get our sound, and generally doing the 109 million other things to get a band going these days.
Then we actually set out to actually play for folks. That started with our good friends at Seven Holy Founders who let us play for their Fish Fry guests for one Friday afternoon. That one performance turned into us spending all Lent playing all of their Fish Fries. Their support and generosity were overwhelming. That, more than anything else told us we were ready to go out into the world. :)
The rest of the spring and summer, we played some awesome places like Four Brothers Mead (during a tornado!!), Villa Antonio Winery, Old Farm Winery, Edgewild Restaurant and Winery, and 9 Mile Garden. We've played everything from Fish Fries to Viking Festivals, to Halloween parties and everything in between, and loved every second of it :D
Like I said before, the response has been overwhelming and so much more than we ever thought it would be. I admit, I was VERY nervous about playing again, but your support, and the support of everyone else, has melted our hearts and encouraged us immensely.
I wanted to keep this post short, and I obviously blew it. Lol. Thank you again for all of you support and love. We appreciate it more than you will ever know. The road ahead looks really bright, and we can't wait to continue this journey with you.
